Chess as part of your curriculum.
Chess can be used as an in-class educational tool for students as young as 4 years old! We recommend introducing chess as a part of the school curriculum from Grade 3 onwards.
Each 1 hour lesson comprises 3 components:
- Chess Lesson – teaching a particular skill, idea, strategy, move or concept. The focus being on improving Thinking Skills such as Problem Solving, Memory, Critical Thinking, Analysis, Decision Making, Concentration, Visualisation, Lateral Thinking, Creative Thinking and more.
- Practical Aspect – reinforces theory from the chess lesson by getting students to use a particular strategy or concept in a simulated game scenario.
- Tournament Games – our unique software matches players of equal ability against one another, ensuring close matches every week!
